Medical Resources
As of May 1, 2010 the
Medicare Comprehensive Refugee Health Assessment (Item 714) no longer
exists. Health assessment of refugees and other humanitarian entrants
can still be claimed under Medicare. The items now relate to the time
spent for each assessment and are as follows: 701 (up to 30 minutes),
703 (30-45 minutes), 705 (45-60 minutes), and 707 (over 60 minutes). Please obtain the Health Assessments Fact Sheet, Questions and Answers, Medicare Health Assessment Resource Kit and other material on the Medicare
Benefits Schedule website.
